    Need to move as affordably as possible? 1 man and van is your best option for a removal service. Our dedicated mover can do everything you need and only requires a helpful hand for any large items they can’t manage alone such as large sofas, wardrobes or fridge freezers. They can also dismantle and reassemble furniture if required and build flatpack.

We can also dispose of domestic items!

How it works:

  • You send us the link or details of the item

  • We liase with the seller about delivery, timing and access

  • We collect, secure it in the van, and bring it to your door

  • We can help with unloading and putting it in place – even up the stairs

We can also take away old or unwanted domestic appliances and certain household items, by agreement, to help you reclaim space.

We handle the move

On the day, we arrive on time with the right vehicle, equipment and assistance. We take care of loading, transport, unloading and placing your items where they need to go.

  • We offer friendly, fully insured man & van removals across Sussex. That includes home, office and student moves, large single-item and Marketplace collections, flatpack collection and assembly, out-of-hours moves and short-term storage in the van when your dates don’t line up.

  • We’re based in Sussex and regularly work in Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham, Eastbourne and Chichester, plus nearby towns and villages. We also help with moves to and from areas like London, Kent and Surrey – just send us both postcodes and we’ll quote.

  • The easiest way is to call or WhatsApp us with:

    • Where you’re moving from and to

    • Rough date and time

    • A quick list or photos of what needs moving

    We’ll let you know whether 1 man & van or 2 men & van is best and give you a clear price before you book.

  • We can do either, depending on the job:

    • Smaller, simpler jobs are often priced as a fixed quote.

    • Longer or more open-ended jobs may be charged by the hour, with a minimum booking.

    We’ll explain which option makes most sense for your move so there are no surprises.

    • 1 man & van – best if you’re on a budget and can help with some lifting.

    • 2 men & van – ideal for bigger moves, heavier furniture or when you don’t want to lift anything.

    If you’re not sure which you need, tell us what you’ve got and we’ll advise honestly.

  • Yes. We have goods in transit and public liability insurance. We still handle everything carefully, but if something goes wrong that’s our fault, we’ll talk it through with you and follow the proper process. Very high-value personal items like jewellery are best carried by you.

  • We don’t offer a full house-packing service at the moment, but we’re happy to:

    • Move the boxes you’ve packed

    • Give advice on what to box up and how to label it

    • Help dismantle and reassemble simple furniture on the day

    If you need packing materials recommendations, just ask.

  • Yes. We know not everyone can move 9–5, so we often help with evening, weekend and out-of-hours moves, depending on availability. Tell us your ideal time window and we’ll do our best to match it.

  • or short gaps, we can keep your items in our van overnight at a secure private location and deliver them the next day when you get the keys. If you need longer-term storage, we can move your belongings into a storage unit and help you plan the logistics.

  • For safety and insurance reasons we can’t carry things like jewellery, cash, weapons, explosives, hazardous materials or illegal items. If you’re unsure about something, just ask before booking and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

  • As soon as you know your date. Weekends and month-ends get booked quickly, especially in summer. Last-minute moves are often possible mid-week, but the more notice you can give, the more options we’ll have for you.

  • Once you’re happy with the quote, we’ll confirm your booking by message or email. For bigger jobs we may ask for a small deposit, with the balance due on the day of the move by cash or bank transfer
