What’s included with Your Move Mate

With every man & van booking, you get:

A clean, well-maintained van suitable for household and office moves
A professional driver and mover (or two, if you choose the 2-man option)
Loading, transport and unloading of your furniture and boxes
Use of blankets, straps and other basic equipment to protect your items
Help with dismantling and reassembling simple furniture where needed

We treat your belongings as if they were our own and work around your timings to make the day as smooth as possible.

How our man & van moves work

Step 1 – Tell us what you’re moving

Send us a quick list or photos of your items, plus the addresses and preferred date and time.
Step 2 – Get your best-value option

We’ll recommend either 1 man and van or 2 men and van, depending on the size of your move and your budget, and send a clear, honest quote.
Step 3 – Move without the stress

On the day, we arrive on time, load everything carefully, secure it in the van and unload it at your new place, putting items where you need them.

We’re based in Sussex and regularly work in Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham, Eastbourne and Chichester. We also help with moves to and from places like London, Kent and Surrey – just ask for a quote with both postcodes
Prices depend on things like how much you’re moving, how many floors there are, how far we’re driving and whether you need 1 man or 2 men with the van. Tell us what you’ve got and where it’s going and we’ll give you a clear, fixed quote or hourly rate before you book.
With 1 man & van, you get a professional mover and van, and you (or a friend) help with some lifting to keep the cost down. With 2 men & van, we do all the loading and unloading for you – ideal for heavier items, bigger moves or when you can’t help with lifting.
We don’t currently offer a full packing service, but we’re happy to move boxes you’ve already packed and to give advice on what to pack where. We can also help dismantle and reassemble simple furniture on the day if you need it.
Yes. We have insurance for goods in transit and public liability. We still handle everything carefully, but if something goes wrong that’s our fault, we’ll talk it through with you and follow the proper claims process. (Jewellery and similar high-value items aren’t covered, so please transport those yourself.)
For weekends and month-end, earlier is better – those dates go first. If you can, get in touch as soon as you know your likely moving date. We can often help with last-minute moves too, especially mid-week, so it’s always worth asking.
